Terms and Conditions

 

  1. Introduction

 

These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Homecare (the “Company”) and you (the “Customer”) in relation to the provision of emergency plumbing and electrical repairs by the Company to the Customer’s property (the “Property”).

 

  1. Call Out Charge

 

The Company will charge a fixed call out charge of £75 + VAT at 20% for all emergency plumbing and electrical repairs. This charge will cover the cost of the call out and diagnostics to identify the source of the problem and one small repair

 

  1. Repairs

 

The Company will use its best efforts to repair the problem as soon as possible. However, there may be circumstances beyond the Company’s control that delay the repair, such as the availability of parts or the need to order specialist equipment. 

 

Repairs that are included in the fixed fee;

 

  • Fixing a leaky faucet or tap: This is a common problem that can be caused by a worn washer or O-ring.
  • Clearing a clogged drain: This can be done using a plunger, drain snake, or chemical drain cleaner.
  • Replacing a toilet seat: This is a relatively simple task that can be done with a few basic tools.
  • Repairing a running toilet: This is often caused by a worn or damaged flapper valve.
  • Fixing a leaky pipe: This can be done by tightening the connections or replacing the pipe if it is damaged.

 

  1. Payment

 

The Customer will be responsible for paying the Company’s charges in full upon completion of the repairs. The Company accepts payment by cash, BACS or credit card.

 

  1. Cancellation

 

The Customer may cancel the contract for the provision of repairs at any time up to 24 hours before the scheduled start time. If the Customer cancels the contract within 24 hours of the scheduled start time, the Customer will be liable to pay the Company’s call out charge in full.

 

  1. Liability

 

The Company will not be liable for any loss or damage to the Property or its contents that arises as a result of the repairs. The Company’s liability is limited to the cost of the repairs.

 

  1. Governing Law

 

These Terms and Conditions will be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

 

  1. Entire Agreement

 

These Terms and Conditions constitute the entire agreement between the parties and supersede all prior agreements, representations, and understandings between the parties, whether written or oral.

 

  1. Severability

 

If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is held to be invalid or unenforceable, such provision will be struck from these Terms and Conditions and the remaining provisions will remain in full force and effect.

 

  1. Waiver

 

No waiver of any provision of these Terms and Conditions will be effective unless in writing and signed by both parties.

 

  1. Notices

 

All notices and other communications under these Terms and Conditions will be in writing and will be deemed to have been duly given when delivered in person, upon the first business day following deposit in the United Kingdom mail, postage prepaid, certified or registered, return receipt requested, addressed as follows:
